Mat Teacher Training
The foundational entry point into instructor training.

Description
This 4-week course provides a strong foundation in Pilates principles, movement fundamentals, effective cueing, and teaching presence. You will develop the skills and confidence needed to teach Mat Pilates with clarity while preparing for future Reformer instruction.
Prerequisite
Mat Pilates training is the foundational building block of Reformer instruction. YA FIT Mat Teacher Training is required before entering Reformer Teacher Training unless you already hold a Mat Pilates certification.

This 6-week course offers an in-depth study of Reformer equipment, Pilates anatomy, and beginner through advanced exercises with thoughtful variations and modifications. You will deepen your understanding of Pilates principles while developing the clarity, confidence, and skill to design intelligent class flow and teach effectively in a real studio setting.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of YA FIT Mat Teacher Training or verified certification from a comparable Mat Pilates program.

Technical Curriculum & Training Framework
The YA FIT Teacher Training Program is built on an internationally recognized curriculum developed in collaboration with the Pilates Education Institute (PEI), an established Pilates education organization known for rigorous, anatomy-informed instructor training. The curriculum is adapted to meet the real-world demands of modern studio teaching.
Rooted in classical Pilates principles and expanded through contemporary Reformer methodology, this training emphasizes intelligent movement, thoughtful progression, and teaching with clarity, purpose, and confidence.
At YA FIT, we believe strong instructors are created through structure, repetition, and mentorship, not rushed certification. The goal is sustainable, effective teaching that supports both instructor and client over time.
Curriculum includes:

• Contemporary Reformer Pilates methodology and repertoire
