The foundational entry point. Four weekends. Movement fundamentals, Pilates principles, and the cueing that makes a class actually land.

Required before Reformer Training unless you hold a verified Mat certification.
Reformer Pilates Teacher Training
Reformer Training
Professional specialization. Six weekends. Reformer mechanics, anatomy, class flow, and the standards that separate a real instructor from a certified one.

Where is the YA FIT Pilates teacher training held?
All training takes place inside our active studios in Agoura Hills (5867 Kanan Rd) and Tarzana (18635 Ventura Blvd). You are not training in a classroom. You are training inside a working studio that serves Los Angeles, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, Encino, Sherman Oaks, and Hidden Hills.
How long is the Pilates teacher training program?
Mat Training runs four weekends. Reformer Training runs six weekends. Both programs meet 1:00 to 6:30 PM. The structure is built so you can train without leaving your life behind.
How much does Pilates teacher training cost in Los Angeles?
Mat Training tuition is $1,200 all-in. Reformer Training tuition is $2,700 all-in. Payment plans are available. There are no hidden fees, no exam fees, no surprise upgrades.
Do I need Mat certification before Reformer training?
Yes, unless you already hold a verified Mat certification from a recognized program. The Mat foundation is what makes Reformer work safe, intelligent, and effective. We will not skip it.
Do I need prior Pilates experience to enroll?
You need a real interest in movement and a willingness to learn. Some experience helps. A regular Pilates practice helps more. We will discuss your starting point on your guidance call before you commit.
Is the certification recognized?
Yes. Our curriculum is developed in collaboration with the Pilates Education Institute (PEI) and produces fully credentialed instructors qualified to teach in any professional studio.
Can I teach at YA FIT after I graduate?
Strong graduates are considered first. Several current YA FIT instructors are Academy graduates. There is no guarantee, but we hire from our own pipeline whenever a slot opens.
When do the next programs start?
Spring Reformer begins May 2. Fall Mat begins August 29. Fall Reformer begins October 3. Spots are limited. Submit the form to start your guidance call.
