Terms and Conditions
Studio Policies
These terms apply to every membership, class pack, intro offer, and private session purchased at YA FIT Pilates. By purchasing, you agree to them.
YA FIT Pilates Inc. · Effective September 2026
1. Booking and attendance
Applies to every class booked at either studio.
Booking and Cancellation
Classes are booked and cancelled through the YA FIT Pilates website or app. Cancel at least 12 hours before the class start time. Inside that window:
- Class packs and memberships with a set number of classes: the class credit is forfeited
- Unlimited memberships: a $15 late cancellation fee applies
Reservations, waitlist additions, and cancellations are recorded by timestamp in our booking system, and these fees are applied automatically from those records.
Why
Twelve hours is the time needed to release the spot to the waitlist. Inside it, the reformer usually stays empty. If something comes up, reach out before class and we will do what we can to move you into another time.
No-Show
Reserving a spot and not attending, without cancelling:
- Class packs and memberships with a set number of classes: the class credit is forfeited and a $15 fee applies
- Unlimited memberships: a $25 no-show fee applies
Private sessions follow the same 12-hour window. A late cancellation or no-show forfeits the session.
Booking a class reserves equipment and instructor time that is then unavailable to another client. These charges are reservation fees rather than charges for attendance, and are billed to the payment method on file.
Waitlist
When a class is full you may join the waitlist. If a spot opens you receive a text with a link to claim it, and 10 minutes to accept before it passes to the next client. Once you are added to a class from the waitlist, the cancellation and no-show policies apply as they would to any booking.
Arrival
Clients arriving more than five minutes after the class start time may not be admitted.
Why
The warm-up sets spring load and prepares the body for the work that follows. Joining after it carries a real risk of injury.
Substitute Instructors
Instructors are subject to change without notice. A late cancellation made because of an instructor change is still subject to the cancellation policy. All YA FIT instructors are certified in the YA FIT Method.
2. Memberships, packs, and billing
Applies to recurring memberships, class packs, and intro offers.
Authorization to Charge
By purchasing a membership, class pack, intro offer, or private session, you authorize YA FIT Pilates Inc. to charge your designated payment method for recurring membership fees, add-on class fees, late cancellation and no-show fees, and any applicable freeze or add-on charges. This authorization remains in effect until cancelled in accordance with the policies below.
Auto-Renewing Memberships
Memberships are month to month with no contract, and renew automatically each month until cancelled. To cancel, send written notice to your home studio by email or text at least 7 days before your next renewal date. Notice received inside that window takes effect the following cycle.
Why
Written notice means email or text, so there is a record on both sides and nothing depends on who was at the desk that day.
Freezes
There is no fee to freeze a membership. Freeze requests must be made in writing with at least 7 days notice and cannot begin immediately. Exact start and end dates are required.
- Unlimited memberships: 2 freezes per year
- All other memberships: 1 freeze per year
- Each freeze: minimum 3 weeks, maximum 6 weeks
- Promotional and discounted memberships are not eligible
Why
Travel and busy seasons happen. A freeze holds your rate and your place so you come back to the practice you built rather than starting over. Busy but still able to come a little? Moving to a smaller plan for the month keeps the habit alive and is often the better choice.
Membership Use
Unused classes do not roll over to the next billing cycle. Unlimited memberships allow up to one class per day. Additional classes are available to members at $25 each. Memberships and class packs are for the named client only and are non-transferable.
Members may move up or down between membership tiers in any month. Contact your home studio to make the change. Legacy and promotional rates do not carry to a new tier.
Why
The one-per-day limit on unlimited memberships keeps spots open across the schedule rather than concentrated in a few hands.
Class Pack and Private Session Expiration
Packs expire from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise at checkout.
- 1 class: 30 days
- 5 classes: 90 days
- 10 classes: 180 days
- 20 classes: 180 days
- Private session packages: 180 days
Why
Extensions are at our discretion and are easier to grant before a pack expires. If yours has already run out, reach out to your home studio and we will see what we can do.
Rate Eligibility
Some rates carry eligibility requirements.
Student rates require proof of current enrollment at the time of purchase and may be re-verified annually. If enrollment cannot be verified, the membership moves to the current published rate for that tier at the next renewal.
Legacy and promotional rates apply only while the membership remains continuously active. If a membership at a legacy or promotional rate is cancelled or lapses, that rate ends. Returning clients join at the rates published at the time they return.
Gift Cards
Gift cards do not expire and are non-refundable. They may be applied toward memberships, class packs, intro offers, private sessions, and retail. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by California law.
Third-Party Booking Platforms
Reservations made through a third-party platform are subject to that platform's own payment and cancellation terms, which we do not control. All studio policies covering arrival, grip socks, conduct, and safety apply to every client in the room regardless of how the class was booked.
Refunds
All purchases are final. Memberships, class packs, intro offers, private sessions, late cancellation and no-show fees, and add-on charges are non-refundable, except where required by law or in the case of a billing error caused by YA FIT Pilates Inc.
Rates and Changes
Membership rates are subject to change. If your rate changes we will notify you by email before it takes effect, with time to cancel or change tiers beforehand.
3. In the studio
Applies to all clients and guests on the premises.
Grip Socks
Grip socks are required at both studios and are available at the front desk.
Why
Bare feet slide on a moving carriage. This is a safety and hygiene requirement, not a preference.
Phones
Phones must be silenced and kept off the equipment during class. Clients expecting an urgent call should notify the instructor or front desk before class.
Why
A phone on a reformer is a hazard to the client using it and to the person beside them.
Children in the Studio
Children under 12, including infants, may not be left unattended in the studio while a parent or guardian attends class. Front desk staff cannot supervise children. Supervision must be arranged in advance.
Why
The studio has moving equipment and springs under tension in every room.
Studio Conduct
Clients are expected to follow studio rules and to treat staff, instructors, and other clients with respect. Disruptive behavior, misuse of equipment or amenities, or repeated violation of studio policy may result in termination of a membership without refund.
Photography and Video
YA FIT Pilates photographs and films inside the studios for social media and marketing, and clients may appear in that footage. Clients who prefer not to be filmed should notify the front desk or their instructor and will be kept out of frame. Requests to remove already published material will be honored.
Personal Belongings
Please keep valuables with you. YA FIT Pilates Inc. is not responsible for items lost, damaged, or stolen in the studio. Items left behind are held at the front desk.
4. Health, disputes, and changes
Applies to all accounts.
Minimum Age
The minimum age for group classes is 18. Clients aged 16 or 17 begin with a private session and are welcome in group classes once cleared in that session. A parent or guardian must sign the liability waiver for any client under 18.
Why
The reformer asks a great deal of the spine, hips, and shoulders. One session allows an instructor to assess how a younger client moves and set them up correctly.
Health and Waiver
Every client signs a participant agreement and liability waiver before their first class. Clients must disclose injuries, recent surgery, or pregnancy to their instructor before class. Clients with a significant injury or medical condition should obtain clearance from their physician and begin with a private session. YA FIT instructors are not medical providers.
Email and Text Messages
YA FIT Pilates Inc. may contact you by email, phone, and text regarding your account, bookings, waitlist offers, and schedule changes.
By providing your mobile number you consent to receive recurring marketing and account text messages from YA FIT Pilates Inc. at that number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of marketing texts and HELP for assistance. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about your bookings. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Billing Descriptor and Disputes
Charges appear on your statement under the YA FIT Pilates billing descriptor. By purchasing, you acknowledge that a class reservation is a delivered service at the time of booking, that late cancellation and no-show fees are charges for reserved equipment and instructor time, and that you will not initiate a chargeback on the grounds of an unauthorized charge or a service not received where the charge is consistent with these policies. Your signed waiver, booking records, and account activity may be used in resolving a billing dispute. A chargeback raised in violation of these terms may result in suspension of your account.
Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these policies, your membership, or your purchases that cannot be resolved directly shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Los Angeles County, California, under its applicable consumer rules, rather than in court. The arbitrator decides all issues except that a court of competent jurisdiction decides the enforceability of the class action waiver below.
Disputes are brought in an individual capacity only. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration.
You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to your home studio within 30 days of your first purchase, stating your name and your intent to opt out. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these policies or your ability to train at YA FIT Pilates.
These policies are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
Technical Issues
YA FIT Pilates Inc. is not responsible for internet outages, booking errors, or third-party software faults affecting your ability to book or cancel. Contact your home studio as soon as an issue occurs and we will resolve it directly.
Changes to These Policies
These policies may be updated. The current version is posted on this page with the date it was last revised. Changes affecting membership terms are sent to members by email before they take effect.
